The elephant is a sensitive, wise and enchanting animal. However, part of it is harsh. The elephant population is on the verge of extinction due to severe poaching – ivory and elephant skin are in demand. Flocks of elephants suffer from heavy forestry work, logging, and the tourist business. The elephant belongs to nature, but there is little, if any, living space suitable for it.

At the Elephant Conservation Center in Laos (2017) I participated behavioural research of elephants, photographing elephant portraits, and making videos how they socialize with each other.  I also cut sugar cane and cleaned poop. At the same time, photographic works of fragility and power were born.
